Rex Miller "Pepita"
This is "Pepita"; a cute little girl on one of
the back streets of Juarez, Mexico photo-
graphed by a friend of mine. The photo
was taken before the violence became so
prevalent there. I couldn't resist trying to
paint her and my friend now has a giclee
in payment for her gift to me. I have the
original.
The painting is 16" x 20" acrylic on canvas. Anyone interested in this
painting can either email me at rxmllr@gmail.com or contact Pam Massar
at The Dutch Art Gallery dutchart1@aol.com

Rex Miller " Winter Tranquility"
Greetings !
This is my first "blog" as a member of Artists of Texas. Hope it works. I would like to share a couple of paintings, just to see if I can do it correctly. This is a pastel on pastel/sandpaper which I had never attempted before and I loved how well the process turned out. Will probably try some more, although I haven't used pastels in a while. The painting is 9" x 12". It is in Ruidoso, New Mexico and I titled it "Winter Tranquility". Would have been a nice place to be during the 100 degree plus temperatures in Dallas this summer.
